Your type isn't your type.
It's a pattern.
And patterns have names.

Take the 3-minute quiz, meet the father-wound archetype that names why you love the way you do — and get language for the pattern. Free, private, not therapy.

She knows something about her father shaped how she shows up in relationships, work, and her own mirror. She doesn't have the language for it yet.

We give her the language. Then a way out.

01

The pattern is louder than the man.

It's not who he was. It's the quiet rules he taught you about love, safety, and what you have to do to be wanted. We name those rules.

02

The wound has a name. Yours does, too.

We mapped 38 distinct father wound archetypes — each with its own emoji, its own shape, its own way home. You're not a category. You're a chapter.

03

Healing should feel high-vibe, not heavy.

No clinical jargon. No re-traumatising deep dives. Just rituals, prompts and small daily reframes that actually fit a real woman's life.

A taxonomy of tenderness

Thirty-eight ways
a father can shape
the way you love.

Most quizzes give you four boxes and call it a personality. We built a field guide. All 38 patterns are mapped and named below — the first paths are live in beta, and the rest are being written with care, not haste.

The 14-day Sweetening

A focused 14-day path for the patterns you keep circling.

Each protocol is 28–32 pages of structured, archetype-specific work — written like a letter, paced like a ritual, designed for a phone screen and a journal.

  1. Phase I · Days 1–4

    Naming

Meet the wound on the page. Trade vague pain for precise language. You can't soften what you haven't seen.

  2. Phase II · Days 5–9

    Softening

The Sweetening begins. Reparenting prompts, somatic micro-rituals, and reframes that quietly rewire the inner script.

  3. Phase III · Days 10–14

    Becoming

You stop performing for love that costs you yourself. You leave with language for the pattern — and a gentler way to work with it.

This is a reflective tool, not therapy or a substitute for it. Many people use it alongside their own therapy — a way to name the pattern between sessions.

A note from the founder

"We didn't build this to be heavy. We built it to be the thing that finally names what you've been carrying — and then helps you put it down."

Frequently asked, gently answered

Questions before the question.

Is this therapy?

No. Daddy Gave Me Lemons is a self-discovery tool and a structured self-guided protocol — not clinical care, diagnosis, or therapy. Many of our women use us alongside a therapist; many use us before they can afford one. If you're in crisis, please contact a licensed professional.

Do I need to "hate my dad" for this to work?

No, and we hope you don't. This isn't about indicting him. It's about understanding the inheritance. You can love your father and still notice the patterns he gave you. The point is freedom, not blame.

How long does the quiz take?

About three minutes. Six questions, written carefully so they don't ambush you. We ask for your email at the end, after you already feel the result land — never as a paywall before.

What if my father wasn't around at all?

Then you may be carrying one of several "absence" archetypes — Ghost Dad, Stranger Dad, Angel Dad, Unknown Dad, and others. Absence is a wound, too. We mapped it.

What's actually in a $22 protocol?

28–32 beautifully typeset pages of archetype-specific work: a welcome letter, a "this is how it shows up" diagnostic, 14 days of daily rituals (each ~8 minutes), journal prompts, somatic micro-practices, reparenting scripts, and a closing integration plan. It's everything we'd hand a friend.

Can I take the quiz more than once?

Yes. Many women re-take after a relationship ends or a holiday at home. The quiz is free forever. Many discover a second archetype layered under the first — which is why we built thirty-eight, not four.

Is my data private?

We never sell your data. Quiz responses are tied to your archetype only — used to personalise your emails. You can delete your account in one click. The work is sensitive; we treat it that way.
